DALLAS, TX – Color Me Empowered (CME), a local nonprofit committed to inspiring children and engaging the community through art, is thrilled to officially announce their annual I HEART ART fundraiser.

This year’s much-anticipated event will take place on Friday evening, September 29, 2023 and will be generously hosted in Corgan’s West End Historic District office at 401 N Houston Street, Dallas, Texas. The fundraiser is open to the public and attendees are invited to indulge in complimentary beverages donated by Hall Group, a spread of delicious hors d’oeuvres, and a compilation of curated music performed by DJ TraeNed. Free parking is available onsite for all guests. “This is a fantastic way for people to get involved with an organization committed to making art accessible for everyone in Dallas,” says Bri Wunderli, President of CME. The I HEART ART fundraiser, themed The Journey, gives people the opportunity to collect professional pieces while supporting CME and local Dallas artists. All works are produced on 24” x 24” canvases, which have been kindly donated by MindHandle. This year’s event will follow a similar format as last year’s—including a pre-event virtual auction where participants can bid ahead of time or “buy it now” for a canvas’s listed retail price. All proceeds from the sales will be split 50/50 with CME and each participating artist. The evening will begin with a VIP reception from 6-7pm for media and “buy it now” collectors who have pre-purchased a piece. Doors will open to the public for free at 7pm

and the festivities will continue until 10pm, with virtual and in-person bidding officially closing at 9pm.

In addition to the featured 24” x 24” works of art, CME will have 50 limited edition I HEART ART block prints hand crafted by art students. Those will be available for a $15 suggested donation. There will also be a silent auction, a raffle, and a pop-up shop of selected works

from the studio available for purchase. CME Founder, Kristen Elizabeth Rice, says, “Building solid, long-term relationships with

artist is imperative to fostering CME’s programming, and “I Heart Art” truly gives us direct access to some of the most talented artists in DFW. We are so grateful for the support of our art community year-after-year!”
